How long does it take to recover after thyroid cancer surgery (thyrodectomy).
How much does thyroid surgery cost?
I have to have a non-cancerous mass removed from my thyroid. The dr will keep in 24 hours. What is the ball park cost of this procedure? I don’t have medical insurance and will have to pay out of pocket or get the hospital to extend financial assistance. Will this decrease my quality of care? For lack of better words, will this cause the doctor to do a sloppy job and put my life at risk during surgery?
What can I expect after a thyroid lobectomy surgery ?
I have to have a thyroid surgery next month and want to know what to expect afterwards. They are going to try to leave the left lobe there as they dont think its cancer.

Thyroid Surgery??
Hi, I’m 14 years old (turning 15 in June)
and I’m having back surgery (fusion for scoliosis) in June.
During an MRI for my back they spotted a nodule (spelling?) or mass in my throid and we’ve decided to have surgery to get it out. I’m having a hemithyroidectomy I think its called.
I’m having it this upcoming tuesday (it’s wensday right now so in less than a week! 6 days!)
If you have had the thyroid surgery please tell me how it was, the pain, the recovery etc…
any tips or anything i should know!
