Are there any emergency surgery centers in Pennsylvania that perform excess skin removal surgery?
I live in north western Pennsylvania and I recently lost 180 pounds I have alot of excess skin and I need it removed, I have almost constant infections.
If there are any centers please give me the name and phone number and if you’ve had any past experience please tell me how their service is and about how long it takes to schedule an appointment and how long from that point to actually have the surgery.
Are my symptoms result of thyroid surgery?
I had my thyroid removed in January after being diagnosed wtih multi-nodular goiter. A biopsy showed pre-cancerous cells and I also have Cownden syndrome. I still have pressure in my throat with some sharp pain at times. My throat is also swollen. Is this still a result of the surgery or should I make a follow-up appointment?
Is the recovery for thyroid surgery very bad?
I have a 7mm nodule on the left side of my thyroid. I have a doctors appointment next Friday. My THS is low, .434. I feel tired all of the time. I assume I’ll be checked for cancer and have the nodule removed, since it is 7mm. Is the recovery for surgery on a thyroid very hard? I am a single parent, two daughters, 18 and 12. Wil I get any energy back?
How long to recuperate from thyroid surgery..?
I have been scheduled for thyroid surgery soon and just wondering about a ballpark amount of time I will need to be off work. Of course, I will ask the doc at my pre-op appointment the day before the surgery. But, knowing ahead of time will make things better at work. Have you had this surgery?
What are some signs that you have scar tissue from surgery?
I had surgery about 7 weeks ago for endometriosis and PCOS (surgery #2 actually). I’m not going into details about the surgery because if you know anything about PCOS or endometriosis, you should already know the details – it’ll just keep this question from getting too wordy.
Anyway, since the surgery I’ve had severe pain, along with diarrhea and really bad gas every single day. Does scar tissue cause these kinds of symptoms?
The pain is just as bad as it was before the surgery & I had cysts that were nearly an inch in size on my ovary – you know those little buggers hurt like crazy.
Anyway, I know I need to see a doctor – so please don’t reply with an answer that thoughtless. My doctor has a 5 month waiting list – I can’t wait that long. I don’t have a family doctor but there’s one of those urgent care places down the street from my house. Will a doctor there know enough about my problems to actually help me? Or will I be stuck waiting for 5 months to get an appointment?
