Question for nurses or doctors that work in hospitals or surgery centers?
Ok my cousin has a question. Hi if someone wets the bed before the surgery like when there getting the iv qnd stuff are the nurses required to put the kid in a diaper even if there like 14 and usually don’t wet themselves. If its not required do u usually do it anyways. Also wat surgerys are you required to wear a diaper when your at the hospital getting the surgery and or/ at home when your recovering.thanks

Patients are usually asked to void before getting an IV etc and before going into surgery. Sometimes a catheter is inserted to avoid (pun intended) the problem.,, GYN surgeries will often require a post procedure catheter to keep the operative field dry. These are questions to discuss with the surgeon befor th procedure.
Usually nurses use an external urinary system, but diapers are still used in some places after any surgery which prevents the patient from moving around. In Most cases it is surgery related to the bladder or internal organs in connection with the intestinal system of the body
